GitHub is looking for a dynamic and motivated transactional lawyer to join its growing Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team. This position, which reports to the Head of Commercial Legal, will help support the GitHub global sales team and accelerate the growth of our business.

Your role will be to support our Sales team on a wide variety of agreements as they sell GitHub products and services, and engage strategic and local partners, to reach millions of customers around the globe. You will “own” legal support for a to-be-defined set of global regions, strategic programs and initiatives, and/or key functions for the business and our team, while also working collaboratively and transparently with others in GitHub CELA and across other functions. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of standard and custom customer, partnership, procurement, and other agreements and supporting legal documents, in close collaboration with teammates and clients. We are also evolving our Sales legal support, agreement templates, and engagement and empowerment models to scale to an increasing volume and diversity of transactions, while also maintaining a high level of service and quality, and you will be a key contributor to these efforts.
