ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee coverage for compensation and benefits processes and queriesProactively identify and execute on process improvements for compensation & benefits workflowsPartner with Finance on stock options planning, and stock option grant proposal for Board approvalAdvise the HR Leadership team and the Compensation Committee on all matters related to compensation philosophy, bonuses, benefits, and the Total Rewards strategy. Drive evaluation of country-specific compensation and benefit requirements in order to effectively create proposals for employment strategy (employee/contractor/BPO) and benefits to all relevant stakeholders and for the company’s global expansionAnalyze changing regulations in compensation and benefits globally, factoring in the impact to Kraken in order to effectively propose strategic changesLead all mandatory compensation and benefits reporting in accordance with compliance standardsWork with the HR Manager and other stakeholders to develop objectives, set priorities and plans for the division and contribute to company HR monitoring and reportingManage and help create job levels, codes, categories and families in partnership with various stakeholdersManage the creation and presentation of well-researched, thorough analyses of compensation and benefits packages on a global scale, taking into consideration the overall business strategy and internal philosophiesMeasure and report the effectiveness of our benefits programs, identify worker personas, propose a new benefits program, and calculate the cost-benefitParticipate as a member of the HR management team in the development of Company policies, guidelines, processes, and strategiesManage ad-hoc compensation and benefits, as well as HR related, projects as requested by management
Requirements7+ years of hands on experience in compensation analysis, both domestically and internationally2 years as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or other similar roleKnowledge and experience in building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels on a global scale4 year Bachelor degree Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification, PHR or SHRM-CP Sound knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to benefits programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.), both domestically and internationallyMust have extensive experience with compensation research and data analysis as they relate to compliance requirements in the banking or finance verticalsHigh-level proficiency with HRIS, including experience in successful HRIS implementations, Microsoft Office and Google SuiteExperience using the latest compensation analysis tools, i.e Mercer (Comptryx), RadfordStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational skillsDisciplined self-starter with experience in both a start-up and a large global company strongly preferred, ideally in Tech, FinanceProactive and collaborative team player capable of communicating effectively with others at a variety of levels within the organization, as well as externallyHandles sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintains confidentialityInsists on giving and receiving critical feedbackAdapts easily to an ever changing and exciting environmentExcellent interpersonal and problem solving skillsExperience working remotely a plusA passion for & knowledge of cryptocurrency
