Director, People Operations

ModSquad, the global leader in on-demand digital engagement services, is seeking a Director, People Operations to work in our Sacramento operation center.
This new role will provide human resources leadership and office management for our Sacramento operation, work to galvanize and service our network of 10,000+ Mods, and support our VP, People Operations in executing the human resources strategy of the worldwide organization.
The company has operation centers in Austin, Northern California (Sacramento), and Northern Ireland with business operations in Costa Rica, San Francisco, New York, and London.  

What you will do:

  • Be an onsite HR leader for employees in our Sacramento operation center and implement HR operation policies
  • Work with other Sacramento-based managers to determine the general needs of employees
  • Collaborate with ModSquad’s information security team, including managing the office security system, monitoring employee and visitor access and business continuity and disaster recovery planning. 
  • Plan and manage in-office events
  • Support sales with on-site client and potential client visits
  • Procure office supplies, equipment and office maintenance
  • Manage issues with vendors and landlord
  • Develop and implement training programs for managers and employees to encourage development and take full advantage of resources
  • Work with our leadership team to fulfill company vision, culture, and values for the company

  • Who you are:

  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in human resources, crowdsourcing, and the gig economy
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or Masters degree a plus
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral), with worldwide language proficiency a plus
  • Experience identifying employee knowledge gaps and creating and delivering training to meet those needs
  • Experience managing the recruiting, onboarding and training processes at a high-growth company
  • Ability to cultivate a highly distributed and diverse workforce
  • Experience with social networking in a professional capacity
  • Able to quickly learn and master third-party software solutions for company and People Ops functions
  • Sense of humor and a love for being a part of innovation and building networks
