Director, People Partnerships & Operations

As we build and scale the People team at Heap, we need a People Partner and an Operations Leader.

At Heap, this means you will:

  • Design, develop and guide people efforts to improve Heaple business performance 
  • Build a strategy and approach for a proactive, strategic People business partner (PBP) organization that supports our Heaple
  • Use employee data (e.g., compensation, attrition, and exit feedback) to drive strategy and guide decision-making 
  • Build and maintain relationships with leaders and their team members to support cultural and organizational needs 
  • Lead rollout of key people processes including performance management, compensation, leveling, feedback, retention
  • Focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion as a key building block to everything we do, working closely with Recruiting, leaders throughout the business, and all Heaple to continually improve our culture and practices
  • Champion our culture by promoting company values to guide decision-making and drive thoughtful and effective change management in a fast-paced environment 

30/60/90 Day Plan

 

  • Within 30 days, you will: 

 

    • You will build a strategy and approach for the PBP organization to include partnership, coaching, learning and development, and employee relations/compliance for all Heaple (Heap employees)
    • You will market this new function, kick off regular manager meetings, report back key themes, and data from these meetings, exit interviews, etc.
    • You will lead the People Strategy and Operations team (regular meetings are taking place and goals are set)

 

  • Within 60 days, you will: 

 

    • You will partner with all managers to set up career ladders for their teams
    • You will partner with the VP People and Heaple to execute D&I 

 

  • Within 90 days, you will:

 

    • You will establish a compensation structure and merit process
    • You will meaningfully contribute to the People strategy of the teams you support
    • You will advise managers and project manage the creation of career ladders and leveling
