ModSquad is currently seeking a dynamic HR Associate to work on our People Operations team in our San Jose office. Our team is responsible for Human Resources and finding and engaging our remarkable network of Mods (the remote freelancers around the world who perform outsourced services like content moderation, customer support, community management, and social media). The HR Associate will be detail-oriented and outgoing and will help manage human resources and recruiting strategies, programs, and processes. You will be an integral part of our team, championing our culture and delivering an exceptional work experience.
The company has operation centers in Austin, Northern California, and Northern Ireland, and business operations in San José, San Francisco, New York, and London.
What you will do:HR Compliance (Latin America and Worldwide):Work in close partnership with senior management to prepare, implement and maintain all HR strategy and compliance programs in Latin America and around the world.Provide guidance to management on legal compliance requirements.Keep up to date with Costa Rica employment legislation.Manage investigations and employee relations issues. Manage employee relation cases to meet best practice requirements.Provide your HR expertise to an international gig economy workforce.
Administration/HR HelpDesk SupportAdminister existing processes and procedures to efficiently on-board candidates, process correct paperwork, and provide access to all internal systems.Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.Implement People Operations (HR) policies as needed.Document processes and procedures in online knowledge base.Answer other questions/tickets from Mod Contractors and employees.Perform other special projects.
Who you are:Minimum 3+ years experience as an HR Associate or similar title/responsibilities.Bachelor's degree and/or Lic. In Human Resources or Business Administration in Human Resources is required.Proficiency in English at an advance level, fluent communication verbal and written is required.Solid MS Office package skills and G Suite (preferred).KPIs and data-driven.Able to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, geographically dispersed team environment.Able to recognize root cause issues and proactively develop solutions with a sense of urgency.Able to quickly learn and master third-party software solutions.A sense of humor and a love for being a part of innovation and building networks.Must be willing to work Saturdays (1-2 a month).
