Mattermost is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager, IT to plan, organize, and execute IT operations across a remote and globally-distributed workforce. The ideal candidate will have a ‘builder mentality’ and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. You have exceptional resource management and prioritization skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. You will analyze our current systems, assets, and processes, recommend and implement solutions, and provide ongoing training, support, and maintenance. The Sr. Manager, IT will work cross-functionally and be involved in the definition, prioritization and support of key IT initiatives and ensure day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations.

Additional Responsibilities:Develop and maintain IT compliance programs, frameworks, policies and audit controls. Strategically scale technology solutions and asset management for the company on a global scale.Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, email systems, laptops, software and hardware.Develop a vendor management system and successfully manage vendor relationships. Analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement and maximize efficiency. Manage and configure SaaS applications across multiple departments.Assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause of issues, and providing technical support when needed.In collaboration with the Security Engineering and People teams, successfully onboard, off-board all staff members of our remote-first and globally distributed workforce.
Requirements:5+ years of IT experience in a high-secure, remote and/or distributed environment.Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, Linux and system performance and monitoring.Proven experience with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.Experience building and managing vendor relationships.Ability to identify potential issues and come up with creative solutions to solve novel problems.Solid understanding of networking and troubleshooting skills.Proven experience with scaling and maintaining an IT asset management program for a remote or global workforce with a service-oriented mindset.Experience in the implementation of an internal help desk process and system.
