The position's primary role will be to support the functions of the Legal Department. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, career paralegal with legal assistant experience who has a passion for K-12 education and a desire to be a part of a growing organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the activities of the General Counsel.
  • Maintain the company's corporate and entity-level books and records, structure charts and critical files; ensure that company entities remain in good standing; assist in the formation of new entities.
  • Provide significant administrative assistant functions to the General Counsel as assigned in connection with being a team player at this dynamic and expanding culture.
  • Assist with management of the company's insurance policies.
  • Prepare and review agreements with attorney supervision.
  • Assist in tracking of contract compliance; transaction closing documents and work collaboratively with the internal accounting team on related tasks.
  • Participate in definition and development of company policies, procedures and programs.
  • Manage organization of critical company files and documents and legal related processes and procedures in a team environment.
  • Conduct legal research as required.

  • Flexibility and team approach with willingness to perform multiple types of tasks, paralegal, administrative and otherwise as needs evolve.


• At least 3-5 years of Paralegal experience in a law firm or business environment, including real estate or financial services firm.

• Administrative assistant experience is a plus.


• Bachelor's Degree.

• Paralegal certification preferred.

Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
