This is a fully remote role. We will only consider applicants based in eastern US due to time zone limitations.
Your Day-to-DayAssist the Legal Department with preparing for transactional closings, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences; completing many administrative tasks, including, working on individual cases or transactions.Draft correspondence to potential targets, attorneys, courts, third parties, etc. Draft and file pleadings.Prepare initial drafts of discovery to propound and discovery responses.Conduct manual and electronic document reviews.Prepare hearing, deposition, mediation and trial notebooks and exhibits.Perform legal research.Maintain deadlines calendar.Schedule meditations, depositions, schedule court reporters/videographer, conference calls, etc.File and serve pleadings.Conduct e-filing on the state and federal level.Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Prepare meeting materials, i.e. PowerPoint Presentations and schedule conference calls and web-based meetings.
Requirements5+ years experience as a litigation paralegalExperience with Federal filings and litigationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to take direction and work independently with little or no supervisionGood organization and attention to detailStrong sense of urgency and ability to get things done on timeCapability for organizing and prioritizing a large number of competing assignments to meet deadlines and corporate needsVersatility, flexibility, ability, and willingness to work within an organization with constantly changing priorities and deadlines with enthusiasmAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretionStrong IT skills (we are a remote first company)Arbitration experience is a nice to haveCalifornia arbitration experience is a major plus
