 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Product Manager for Internal Tools at Contentful, you’ll define a next-generation of Contentful’s internal APIs and tools that help our product teams build and operate product features and services that are efficient and reliable at scale by owning the roadmap.

In this position, you will work across infrastructure technology teams pairing with the Engineering Managers.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The technology Product Management team, working with a Contentful infrastructure group, drives the product strategy for the key part of our offering - API content platform designed from scratch for the cloud. 

Our customer base is growing at a fast pace, and our platform serves billions of API requests every single day. We are looking for a product leader with experience building platform products and services to empower internal engineering teams to build the best possible user experiences.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Work with engineering to identify and solve problems with an existing technology platform to improve maintenance automation, optimize platform performance, and realize operational efficiencies
  • Completely own your team's products from ideation to launch, growth, and iteration
  • Drive a product roadmap and set goals and key success metrics
  • Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data team to prioritize and balance short-term priorities and longer-term strategic needs
  • Produce thought-leadership content in the area of cloud computing and platform infrastructure
  • Contribute to a PM culture that shares user insights, learnings, and research findings early, often, and well

EXAMPLE PROJECTS

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience - ie. product management or equivalent experience
  • A customer-centric product leader that’s passionate about highly scalable, reliable and distributed systems and APIs
  • Good understanding of how API products and services are architected, build and operated
  • Passion for identifying opportunities and working with teams to deliver
  • Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of various quantitative and qualitative research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing on creating assets that describe and prove platform services and capabilities plus
  • A strong growth mindset and a servant leadership approach to product management, ability to lead via influence
