Professional Services Regional Director

Github Professional Services is growing and we are looking for talented individuals to run and scale our regional services businesses across the globe. Each Regional Director will partner closely with the regional Sales, Support, and Customer Success teams to service their business in-market. We are looking for people who are highly skilled at building an inclusive team culture promoting delivery excellence. They will be responsible for projects being completed on time, within budget, and with the highest consistent quality, while ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded. 

Regional Directors will lead teams of regional consultants who will collaborate with customers and partners to address the organizational, technical, and process challenges that arise as they adopt GitHub as part of their workplace transformation. These consultants assist customers in improving efficiency and productivity; help them simplify their software development life cycle and cloud enablement efforts; provide solutions that help to reduce risk, in particular around security and compliance; instill a sense of community to help customers attract and retain top talent and leverage talent inside and outside their organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish operational excellence of delivery teams to drive predictability, repeatability, and scalability
• Ensure that customer engagements are delivered with the highest consistent quality
• Participate in the sales process to ensure proper scoping, resourcing, and planning
• Identify early signs of project risk and devise appropriate response strategies
• Partner with cross-functional teams to set appropriate expectations with internal and external stakeholders
• Promote and foster an inclusive team culture that aligns with GitHub core values
• Assist in evolving our set of offerings based on customer and delivery team feedback
• Produce key customer references through high quality delivery
• Support statement of work and change order creation and approvals
• Own key business metrics such as bookings, revenue, utilization, and customer satisfaction
• Take responsibility for building and managing your team 

Skills and requirements

• 7 to 10+ years of relevant enterprise IT sales and delivery oversight experience within a consulting or professional services organization
• Experience managing profit and loss within a professional services organization
• Experience managing teams and mentoring consulting staff
• Strong preference for 3 to 5+ years of industry experience in building and deploying applications using DevOps tools and practices
• Strong presentation skills, particularly in the presence of clients or prospective clients
• Excellent writing skills
• Skilled at building and managing client relationships, including stakeholder management
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive
• Travel, as required
