Position Overview:

The Development Manager is responsible for the oversight of all development work completed by Silverline.  You will lead developer and QA resources based in multiple offices throughout the globe.  This is a team lead opportunity with manager AND developer responsibilities.  You will be accountable for managing and allocating resources to successfully deliver complex Salesforce implementations.


  • Manage technical team comprised of developers, QA engineers, and team leads
  • Directly manage the development team leads
  • Facilitate technical growth and training across development teams
  • Plan the allocation of resources to meet project requirements
  • Provide training and support for Silverline development processes and systems
  • Administer development tools, including: issue tracking, source control, continuous integration, etc.
  • Act as escalation point for project issues arising involving development teams
  • Assist with selection and onboarding of new team members
  • Monitor team performance and identify best practices
  • Support changing development needs of Silverline Services and Product teams
  • Generate detailed utilization and performance reports for the development teams
  • Actively participate in ongoing process improvements discussions and activities

Education and Required Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • 7-15 years software engineering experience including Solid software development fundamentals (data structures, design patterns, Object-Oriented programming, algorithms and system architecture).
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Expert in some form of version control
  • Experience with common issue tracking systems
  • Strong Communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience working with offshore development teams
