Senior Payroll Analyst

San Francisco, CA (HQ) Finance

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for the administration of the day to day payroll operations and accuracy of the U.S. semi-monthly payroll. They will be a resource to employees and perform related duties as required.

This position is based in our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly U.S. payrolls - approximately 800 people
  • Process timesheets for approximately 80 peopleJournal entry upload into Netsuite after each payroll
  • Audit data integrity between Workday HRIS and ADP Payroll to ensure both systems are in sync
  • Process weekly stock transactions in ADP for compliance and reporting
  • Partner with HR team in processing domestic payrolls
  • Partner with Internal and External Business Partners to test new functional system ehancements, system updates and integrations
  • Ensure a smooth year-end to provide accurate W2's
  • Identify and participate in process improvement projects, including various implementation and upgrades
  • Respond to employees timely
  • Participate in payroll projects and opportunities as assigned
  • Process garnishments, unemployment wage claims and other tax tracers as needed
  • Provide guidance in payroll processes and provide feedback to improve payroll processes
  • Complete accounting journal entries for month-end close
  • Complete reconciliations of accounts for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Excel including advanced formulas functions (Vlookups, Pivot tables)
  • Knowledgeable of wage and hourly laws
  • Experience with accounting processes and month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations as it relates to payroll
  • Working knowledge with ADP Workforce Now, ADP timesheets (TLM) and Netsuite
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality to payroll and other employee personal information
  • Strong customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • WFN (payroll system)
  • ADP TLM (timesheets)
  • ESPP Experience a plus
